Daniel Gomes

AI Specialist - Research Fellow

Hi, I’m Daniel!

Born and raised in Portugal, I have always been fascinated by technology and the endless possibilities that artificial intelligence can (and will be able to) offer. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), where I built my foundation in programming, machine learning, and computer vision.

Currently, I am working on my master's thesis, which focuses on developing an AI model capable of detecting and classifying fish species. By combining my passion for artificial intelligence with marine biology, I aim to contribute to biodiversity monitoring and conservation efforts, providing tools that can assist researchers in understanding aquatic ecosystems more efficiently.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy gaming, watching movies and series, and exploring new technologies!
