Francisco Louro
Master student
Hi!
My name is Francisco, I am from Portugal and I am doing a master’s degree in marine ecology at the University of Lisbon.
I am doing a master's thesis, co-supervised by Joana Castro from AIMM, on the relationship between biodiversity and cleaning stations.
Since early on, I have aspired to have a career in scientific research in the field of biology. My areas of interest are ecology itself, animal behaviour, the effects of climate change on the marine environment and the impact of man on ecosystems. However, I am open to learning about many other topics. I love doing sports. I was a canoeing athlete, and I still practice it (it is a spectacular sport due to the contact with nature). I usually play football with my friends, run and swim. I also like to listen to music and play guitar.
